Recovering Missed Calls with Text Messages

When a caller hangs up early, Tinylawn can text them a link to your default online form so you still have a chance to capture the lead.

When someone hangs up before sharing what they need, Tinylawn can text them a link to your online form so you still have a chance to win the job.

How call recovery works

1. A caller reaches your AI receptionist, then hangs up before a complete request is captured.

2. Tinylawn sends them a short text with a link to your default form.

3. If they submit the form, a lead appears in your dashboard like any other online request.

Before you turn it on

- You need an active default form. Go to Forms, make sure one form is marked as default, and keep it active.

- Keep that form short and clear — this is often someone's second chance to reach you.

Turn call recovery on or off

1. Go to Settings > Receptionist > Call recovery.

2. Turn Call recovery on or off.

3. Changes take effect right away.

What the customer sees

The customer gets a text message with a link to your default form on tnyln.co. They can fill in their contact info, address, and service needs without calling back.

What you see

When they submit the form, you'll get a new lead on the Leads page. If you have form-submission notifications enabled, you'll also get an alert.

Good to know

- Customers can reply STOP to opt out of texts.

- Recovery works best alongside call forwarding so real missed opportunities land with Tinylawn first.

- Not every hung-up call will send a text — Tinylawn only recovers calls where a recovery message makes sense.

Tips

- Use a simple Quote Request form as your default if you want the fastest recovery path.

- Pair recovery with notification contacts so you're alerted when someone completes the form.

- Review recovered leads like any other form lead — confirm the details and follow up quickly.
