You can personalize your AI receptionist's name and conversation style to match your brand. These settings affect how the receptionist introduces itself and interacts with callers.
How to update the profile
1. Go to Settings > Receptionist > Profile.
2. Update any of the fields described below.
3. Changes take effect on the next incoming call.
Profile settings
Agent name
This is the name the AI uses when greeting callers. The default is Sarah, but you can change it to anything that fits your brand — like your business name, a team member's name, or a name you make up.
Example: If you set the name to "Alex," the default greeting becomes:
> "Hello, thank you for calling [Your Business Name]. This is Alex. How can I help you today?"
Conversation tone
Choose the overall style of the receptionist's responses:
Tone | Best for |
Professional (default) | Most businesses — polished but approachable |
Casual | Brands with a relaxed, friendly vibe |
Formal | Businesses that want a buttoned-up, corporate feel |
The tone affects word choice and phrasing throughout the entire conversation, not just the greeting.
Voice
Select the voice your receptionist uses on calls. The default voice is Celeste. More voices coming soon.
Tips
- Pick a name that sounds natural when spoken aloud — callers will hear it at the start of every call.
- If your brand is casual and friendly, try the Casual tone. It makes the conversation feel more relaxed and less scripted.
- You can change these settings anytime without any downtime. The next call will use the new profile.
