The fastest way to see Tinylawn in action is to call your AI receptionist yourself. Here's how to make a test call and what to expect.
How to make a test call
1. Go to the Getting Started page (or find your number under Settings > Receptionist).
2. Tap the Make a Test Call button, or dial the number from your phone.
3. Your AI receptionist will pick up and greet you by your business name.
What to try during your call
Your AI receptionist can handle several types of conversations. Try one or more of these:
Ask about services
Say something like "What services do you offer?" or "How much does a lawn mowing cost?" The AI will read back your active services with pricing.
Book an appointment
Say "I'd like to schedule a lawn mowing for next Thursday at 2 PM." The AI will check your availability and confirm the booking. After the call, you'll see a new lead in your dashboard.
Ask about business hours
Try "What are your hours?" and the AI will share your current schedule.β
Ask a custom question
If you've added FAQs, test them out β ask one of the questions you've configured and see how the AI responds.
What happens after the call
Within a few moments of hanging up, Tinylawn processes the call:
- A call record appears in your Calls page with a summary, transcript, and recording.
- If the call was a quote request or appointment, a new lead is created automatically.
- Notifications are sent to your configured email and SMS contacts.
- The call shows up on your Dashboard chart.
Tips
- Test calls do count toward your free trial, so use them wisely.
- If the AI books an appointment, you'll see it on your Calendar page.
- After your test call, check the Calls page to review the full transcript and summary.
- Try calling from a different phone number to simulate a real customer experience.
